Your Teacher

Teresa is the new Director of Music Together of Marblehead. She has been teaching the Music Together® program for almost 2 years at the Music & Movement of Newton center. In the Winter '07 she started her own center, Music Together of Salem & Swampscott.  She comes to the Music Together family after 15 years of experience performing as a singer, songwriter and arranger. After earning her Degree in Music Education  from UNI-RIO (University of Rio de Janeiro), she came to Berklee College of Music to further her studies in arranging and songwriting. In Boston she has taught  music privately and in after school music programs. In the past 10 years, she has performed in various arts festivals and jazz venues around the Boston and New York area. Making music with her son, inspired Teresa to explore teaching children and to share her love for music with families in the community. Whenever requested, Teresa brings to her classes some songs from the Brazilian repertoire of children songs.  The combination of her sweet vocals and guitar playing, an overall enthusiasm and her teaching experience make her a welcoming teacher. Check out Teresa's latest CD which contains some of her original music, entitled, "Ave Rara," at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/teresaines.
